I can't hear sound on my iPad/iPhone while watching Pure Flix Movies
IF YOU ARE USING AN OLDER iPhone or iPad:
In some cases, the problem can be resolved by simply restarting the iPad/iPhone (holding down the power button and the Home button for about 10-15 seconds to initiate a restart).
If that does not resolve the problem (or if a restart is not preferred), the following steps may help.
Reset the Hardware Mute Setting:
On the right side of the screen you will see - USE SIDE SWITCH TO:
Then, open the Pure Flix app and toggle the side switch on the iPad (located above the volume control) while playing a video. This should result in the app playing sound correctly. Once you have determined this you can readjust the side switch as you need, and return to using the software mute switch in the system tray).
On the iPhone, you want to set the mute button (located above the volume control) so that you don't see red.
IF YOU ARE USING AN iPad Pro, iPad Air 2, or iPad mini 4 OR NEWER:
Use Control Center to turn on Mute on your iPad Pro, iPad Air 2, or iPad mini 4 or newer.
On your iPad Pro, iPad Air 2, or iPad mini 4 or newer, you'll find Mute (image of a bell) in the Control Center. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to open the Control Center.
To turn off Mute
From the Control Center, tap (image of a bell). When Mute is on, you won't hear audio for notifications, alerts, or sound effects like keyboard clicking. You'll still hear audio playback in your music, podcasts, videos, and games.
To turn off all system sounds including audio playback, touch and hold the Volume Down button.
